Electrician - Scenic/Retails Display

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Lead Electrician/Electrical Supervisor to lead and deliver electrical installations across retail displays, experiential projects, exhibitions, pop-ups and bespoke fabrication projects.

This is a hands-on position combining electrical expertise with team leadership. You'll oversee a small team of electricians and technicians, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard. Working closely with Project Managers, Designers and Production teams, you'll be involved from build through to installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and coordinate a team of electricians and installers.
• Build, wire, test and commission electrical systems and display installations.
• Install and maintain both 240V and low-voltage systems, including LED lighting and control systems.
• Carry out fault finding, diagnostics, PAT testing and inspections.
• Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and health & safety standards.
• Prepare RAMS, testing records and installation documentation.
• Support workshop production and attend site installations across the UK when required.
• Assist with planning, resource allocation and project delivery.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 Qualified Electrician (or equivalent).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Experience with 240V and low-voltage electrical systems.
• Previous experience leading or supervising a team.
• Background in retail fit-out, shopfitting, exhibitions, events, experiential projects or display production.
• Confident reading technical drawings and schematics.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

• 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification.
• ECS Gold Card.
• IPAF and/or PASMA.
• Experience with DMX lighting, LED systems and interactive technologies.
