2018 – Getting Started 🎨🛠️

I had just started out as a scenic carpenter and honestly had no idea where to find work. To see if others were in the same boat, I created a simple Facebook group — a place to share opportunities and maybe let the work find me.

2018–2019 – The Community Grows 🌱🤝

The response blew me away. Within weeks, hundreds of people joined, and jobs were being shared left, right, and centre. What began as a small idea quickly became a community of set builders, scenic carpenters, and crew working across TV, film, theatre, commercials, and events.

2020–2023 – Realising the Vision 💡🌐

It became clear that this could be much bigger than a Facebook group. That’s when the idea for Set Jobs UK was born — a website to make finding work and crew simpler, faster, and fairer for everyone.

2023 – Today & Beyond 🚀✨

Set Jobs UK is now a go-to hub for set-building opportunities across the UK. We’re constantly improving the platform and exploring new ways to support the people who make productions happen behind the scenes.

The journey has been incredible so far, but in many ways, it feels like we’re just getting started.
